It's nice to be home again but New Mexico was, as always, nice to visit.  Once out of Albuquerque, I like the feeling of being in an older less urban culture.  My co-worker hadn't been to Santa Fe so I used it as an excuse to eat lunch at the old town plaza.

Taos surprised me.  I expected a glitzy resort area but found more of an artist colony. (Sorry, but I didn't take any pics) We stayed three nights in Taos while working at mine up in the mountains near Questa, NM.  The mine was at an altitude near 8,000'. We spent the day climbing up and down stairs in the Mill to inspect electrical equipment.  I hope I don't need to do that again for a while.

It snowed on our last day.  It wasn't cold enough to be an issue on the roads but it was a sloppy mess otherwise.

Back here at home, it's still in the 80's during the day but cool at night.

Yesterday, I cleaned up the gardens, fixed a broken irrigation line, planted a couple of peppers and spread some poppy seeds.  Today....well today I haven't done much of anything but sit around and read.

Adios
